Shadow

Probably my favourite shot from yesterday's walk through the city. I was initially drawn to the strong lines of the building enhanced by the direction of the late afternoon sun. As I was photographing a couple of people walked by and I took a few shots with them in the picture. This one of an elderly man, who seems to be still dressed for the winter, was the best of them.

This mother and daughter were walking down the path from the Jvari Monastery, near Mtskheta.

Drink

I was trying to find an angle for a shot of the Anchiskati church when this old lady stopped in front of me and reached out to a fountain for a drink of water. I just had time to zoom out, recompose and grab this shot.

Old Lady

This old lady was sitting outside the Kashveti Church begging for money from people going into the church. I took this shot just after she got up off the small stool and laboriously clambered onto the wall. She looked exhausted by the effort.
